Handcrafted Ceramic Coffee Mug – Indigo Drift | Moonwake Collection

Layered blues and soft movement define this Indigo Drift ceramic coffee mug, part of the Moonwake Collection. The glaze shifts from pale aqua tones near the rim into deeper indigo blues toward the base, creating a surface that reflects the quiet movement of water and shifting light across tidal depths.

Each mug is wheel-thrown by hand in my studio in Cheadle, Cheshire, shaped with a rounded body and comfortable handle designed for everyday use. The glaze flows and gathers differently in each firing, forming subtle variations and gentle transitions that highlight the handmade process.

The Indigo Drift glaze captures the feeling of water in motion — lighter tones suspended above deeper blues, like shifting light over ocean currents. No two mugs are exactly alike, giving each piece its own quiet character while remaining part of the Moonwake palette.

Part of the Moonwake Collection, these mugs are inspired by tidal waters, moonlight, and the changing colours of the sea.
