Handcrafted Ceramic Dimple Cup – Tidal Break | Moonwake Collection

Deep blue glaze flows over a pale satin base in this Tidal Break ceramic dimple cup, part of the Moonwake Collection. The glaze settles and breaks naturally across the surface, creating a layered effect reminiscent of a wave cresting and breaking along the shoreline.

Each cup is hand-formed using a pinch and dimple technique, giving it a softly textured surface that sits comfortably in the hands. The gentle dimples create a natural grip and add subtle character to the form, making these small cups perfect for coffee, tea, or a wee dram of whisky.

Made in small batches in my studio in Cheadle, Cheshire, every piece develops slightly different glaze movement during the firing. The deep blue flows and gathers differently across each cup, breaking into lighter tones near the base to create quiet variation that celebrates the handmade process.

Part of the Moonwake Collection, the Tidal Break glaze reflects the shifting movement of water and the calm depth of ocean blues — pieces designed to bring a moment of stillness to everyday rituals.
