Soft, calm, and quietly grounding, this handcrafted ceramic lidded jar in the Birchlight glaze is designed to bring warmth and ease to everyday rituals. Wheel-thrown by hand in my Cheadle studio, the form is simple and functional, with a fitted lid and a handmade spoon resting neatly in an integrated holder at the side.

The Birchlight glaze features a creamy satin base with delicate speckling and warm toasted brown accents around the rim and lid. Its subtle tonal variation and natural finish evoke pale birch bark touched by soft morning light — understated, airy, and timeless. The gentle neutral palette makes this piece easy to style in kitchens, coffee stations, or open shelving.

Perfect for storing sugar, loose tea, salt, spices, or small treasured items, the jar is both practical and decorative. The included wooden spoon adds a tactile contrast to the stoneware and makes the piece especially suited for daily use.
